It's called Brook House Farm Cottage. It’s on our farm in Scamblesby, Lincolnshire. The barn it’s in is old, from 1791, but we did it up inside a while back so it's modern where it needs to be.
It’s all on the ground floor. Sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It’s got a 4 Star rating, so it’s comfortable and well-equipped. Because it’s all on one level and the entrance is level too, it suits people who find stairs difficult. The garden is enclosed, so it's secure for dogs or kids.
You’re on a working farm. We have horses here, so you’ll see them about. The cottage is separate though, the garden is just yours.
You can walk straight out from the door into the Lincolnshire Wolds. It’s nice countryside. Cadwell Park race circuit is just down the road, about a mile away, if you like that sort of thing.
The market towns are Louth and Horncastle, both about seven miles. Horncastle has a lot of antique shops. For a day at the coast, it’s about half an hour’s drive to places like Sutton on Sea or Mablethorpe. Lincoln is also about half an hour the other way. The cathedral is worth seeing.
There are a couple of decent pubs that do food about three miles away.
Inside, it's got what you'd need: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking right outside.
