Woody's Top is up on top of the Wolds, near Ruckland. It used to be a youth hostel. You get views right out over the hills towards the coast.
It sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped. There's a wood burner in the main space, which is open plan. The garden is south-facing and enclosed, good for kids or a dog if you had one, but we don't take pets here. There's a patio with a hot tub looking out at the view.
Downstairs there's a games room with a pool table and things. It's handy if the weather turns.
The nearest pub and a restaurant are about three miles down the road. A proper shop is in Louth, which is six miles. Louth's a nice market town, they've got a few markets each week and some decent places to eat.
For days out, you're about 30 minutes from the coast at Skegness if you want that classic seaside. Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve is out that way too, good for a walk. Lincoln is about 35 minutes west, the cathedral and castle are worth seeing. Closer to home, Cadwell Park race circuit is just five miles over the hills if you're into that.
Facilities wise, it's all there: washer, dishwasher, wifi, bedding and towels included. Plenty of parking. There's a cot and highchair if you need them.
