Paradise Lodge is a log cabin in Kenwick Woods, near Louth. It's completely separate, so no one's attached to you. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The 4-star rating means we've kept it simple but comfortable.
The cabin is right in the woods, so you can walk straight out into them. There's a patio and a garden area. Inside, it's open-plan. There's a woodburning stove, which is nice in the evenings. The Wi-Fi is decent most of the time. One dog is allowed.
On the Kenwick estate itself, there's a golf course about half a mile away. You can walk to the hotel there for a bar and restaurant. The woods are good for horse riding if you book it in advance. For fishing, there are loads of lakes within five miles of Louth.
Louth is a Georgian market town about ten minutes by car. It's got the usual shops, a few good pubs and restaurants, a cinema, and a leisure centre.
For a day out, Donna Nook is about twenty minutes away. It's a nature reserve where the seals come to breed in the winter. It gets busy, but it's worth seeing.
If you want the beach, Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea are also about twenty minutes east. They're traditional seaside towns with long, sandy beaches.
