Cherry Lodge
Cherry Lodge is a log cabin in Little Cawthorpe, up in Lincolnshire. It's in the middle of Kenwick Woods, which is about three hundred acres of private woodland. You're on your own plot.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a five star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-finished. Everything works and it's kept to a good standard.
The main thing is the location. You walk straight out into the woods. There are paths for walking or cycling that go out towards the coast or into the Lincolnshire Wolds. The golf course on the estate is an 18-hole parkland course. The clubhouse, which has a bar and restaurant, is about half a mile's walk from the cabin.
Louth is the nearest town, about a ten minute drive. It's a market town with decent shops, pubs and places to eat. There's a cinema and a leisure centre there too.
For the coast, it's about twenty minutes by car. Mablethorpe and Sutton-on-Sea have the classic sandy beaches. Donna Nook is in that direction too. The seal colony is there and it's worth seeing in the breeding season, but it gets very busy.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect. Wood burning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. There's a patio area with a garden. No pets, I'm afraid.
