The Mansion Cottage
The Mansion Cottage is in Tetford, Lincolnshire. It's a standalone cottage in its own big garden. The garden isn't fenced. The view from it is very good, just fields.
It's old, from around the 1700s. It's timber framed and was thatched once, though it isn't now. You can see a lot of the original oak beams inside. Because it's old, the ceilings and some doorways are low. Mind your head.
It sleeps four people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable. The stairs are steep and narrow, just so you know.
You've got a wood burner, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. The WiFi works. We allow pets, up to three.
For shopping, you'll need to go about six miles. There are pubs in the nearby villages, three or four miles away.
You can start walks right from the cottage. Horncastle is eight miles away, Louth is about the same. Lincoln is further, about twenty-three miles. The coast at places like Great Beaches is roughly a fifteen mile drive.
