Psalter Farmhouse is a big detached place on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. It sleeps twelve, with six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, it's comfortable and well looked after but not overly fancy.
The layout is good for a crowd. There are two living rooms and a large conservatory that we use as a games room. The garden is big and fully enclosed. There's a big driveway for parking.
Inside, it's spacious. The stairs are fairly standard, no real quirks. Everything is on one level from the garden into the conservatory. There’s a step up into one of the living rooms. It’s listed as having wheelchair accessible entrance.
You're out in the country here. The nearest pub is about a mile away in Skendleby Psalter. The closest shop is two miles.
For days out, Skegness is about a 20 minute drive. It’s that classic British seaside with a long sandy beach and the usual seafront things. If you're interested in the war history, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is at RAF Coningsby, which is under half an hour away. East Kirkby Airfield with its Lancaster Bomber is even closer, about fifteen minutes.
Market towns like Louth, Horncastle and Alford are a short drive. Horncastle is known for its antique shops. Lincoln is about 40 minutes if you want a proper city day out for the cathedral and castle.
You're in the Wolds, so walking and cycling routes start right from the door. For organised walks and maps, the Lincolnshire Wolds Countryside Service site is useful.
Facilities: it’s got the standard things. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. The electricity and utilities are part of the price. No pets allowed.
