Hazel Lodge

Hazel Lodge is one of five lodges here. It's on a site with fishing lakes. It's detached, so you've got your own space and a deck. You can see the lake from there.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathroom. That's quite handy. It's got the 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after. The layout is all on one floor, which is good for some people.

You get your own private hot tub on the deck. It's fenced off for privacy, but you still get the view over the water. The lakes are stocked if you want to fish. You don't have to, though. It's just peaceful to look at.

It's a rural spot. The village, Burgh le Marsh, is about two miles away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs there. Skegness is five miles, so you can get to the beach and the promenade easily. It's a classic seaside town.

If you drive for about half an hour, you can get into the Lincolnshire Wolds. It's nice countryside for a walk or a drive. Lincolnshire Wolds has some route ideas. Horncastle is about that distance too, if you like antiques.

The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.

For local days out, Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust looks after Gibraltar Point, which is a good spot near Skegness.
