Horseshoe Lake 3
It's called Horseshoe Lake 3, but it's actually a pod, not a house. It's on Chapel Fields Holiday Park near Skegness. You're right on the edge of a lake called Horseshoe Lake. Your deck has its own fishing peg, so you can just step off and fish.
It says it sleeps six, but there's only one proper bedroom, which is a mezzanine up a ladder. Kids tend to love that bit. The other beds are two sofa beds in the living space. There's one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's modern and well-equipped inside, but the space is compact. It’s all on one level except for the mezzanine ladder.
The park itself is quiet, focused on the lake. There's a licensed coffee shop on site. For anything else, the village of Chapel St Leonards is about half a mile away. There's a shop and a couple of pubs that do food there. The beach is a mile off. You can walk it, or there's a bus from the park gate. Skegness itself is a short drive down the coast for the classic seaside stuff: amusements, shops, that kind of thing.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, parking for one car right next to the pod. All bedding and towels are included. No pets allowed. If you're coming with a bigger group, you can book the pod next door, number 5, as well.
