Reed Roost

Reed Roost is in Addlethorpe, near Skegness in Lincolnshire. It's one of a group of lodges built around a fishing lake. The lodge is detached and has its own enclosed deck out the back. You look right out over the water. It's very quiet.

It sleeps six people. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. Everything is on the ground floor and the doors are wide, so it's suitable if someone in your group uses a wheelchair. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's a high standard and well-equipped.

The deck has a private hot tub. They provide robes and slippers to use. Inside, it's open plan. There's a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. All the bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.

You're about a mile from the beach at Ingoldmells. Skegness is about three and a half miles down the coast if you want the amusements and things. There's a shop and a couple of places to eat roughly a mile away.

If you like fishing, you can do it right here on the lake in front of the lodge. For walking, the Gibraltar Point nature reserve is a short drive away. Fantasy Island theme park is very close, and Butlin's in Skegness is about five minutes in the car.
