Lambourne House

Lambourne House is in Skegness on the Lincolnshire coast. It's actually two cottages knocked together, so it sleeps ten. Five bedrooms, four bathrooms. There's a shared heated swimming pool in a separate building, which you book slots for.

It's detached and sits in about four acres of gardens, overlooking a central courtyard. The place has a 5 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, but I'd say it's more practical than ultra-luxurious. There's a ground floor wet room, which is useful.

You're a couple of miles from Skegness seafront and Ingoldmells. The beach is sandy and it's about a five minute drive. For a walk away from the crowds, RSPB Gibraltar Point is good. The Lincolnshire Wolds are a short drive inland if you want some gentle hills.

There are two golf courses nearby, Seacroft and Northshore. Fishing is available about 300 yards away. Local attractions include the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight visitor centre and the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre at East Kirby.

For a day trip, Lincoln is about an hour's drive. The cathedral and castle are worth seeing. Closer to home, you've got National Trust Gunby Hall and Snipedale Nature Reserve.

Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, and an enclosed garden. There's parking on site. It's set up for families, with a cot, highchair, and stairgate. You can bring up to four dogs. Bedding and towels are included. There's a pub and a shop about a mile away.
