Oyster Catcher is one of a few barns we rent out on the farm here in Gibraltar, Lincolnshire. It's up the lane from the main road towards Skegness, so it's quiet but not remote.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom, which is handy for groups. The rating is 5 Star, which means it’s quite well-finished. Everything's open plan downstairs.
You've got your own garden. It's enclosed, so it's safe for dogs or kids. There's a patio with a barbecue. Parking is right outside the door.
The barn is all on one level inside, with no steps at the entrance, so it works if you have mobility issues. The doors and things are wide enough for a wheelchair.
We're about a mile from the beach. It’s a sandy beach, the classic Skegness sort. The town itself is a couple of miles away if you want the funfair, amusements, or fish and chips.
Right on the doorstep is Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve. You can walk straight into it. There are miles of paths through the dunes and saltmarsh. Good for birdwatching. They have a visitor centre with a café.
If you drive for half an hour, you can get into the Lincolnshire Wolds. It's nice walking country. The market town of Louth is about that distance. Lincoln, with the cathedral and castle, is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes.
In terms of stuff here, it has WiFi, a TV, dishwasher, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
There's a pub that does food about a mile away. The nearest shop is a mile and a half.
