River Cottage
River Cottage is in Wainfleet St Mary, on the farm. It's on a part of the Steeping called the Haven. You look out over the river from the garden.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's done up well inside. It's an open plan layout downstairs. Sleeps four, but there's just the one bedroom with a double bed and a sofa bed in the living area. One bathroom with a shower.
The garden is enclosed and you get a private hot tub. Parking is right outside.
It's on our working farm, so you'll see tractors sometimes. You're welcome to walk along the riverbank on the farm land, about 80 acres of it. It's quiet. Good for seeing birds.
Wainfleet All Saints is a few minutes' walk up the road. There's a couple of pubs, a shop, and a brewery that does tours. The beach at Skegness is about five miles away if you want sand and amusements.
For a day out, Gunby Hall is nice, about seven miles. Lincoln is 40 miles if you want a proper city trip, but that's a drive.
We allow two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. Wifi works fine.
