Hawthorn Lodge is one of five detached places on a small fishing site outside Burgh le Marsh. It’s quiet out here, just fields and the lakes.
It’s a detached lodge, so no one is attached to you. It sleeps six with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It has a 4 Star rating. It’s modern and clean, done to a decent standard.
You have your own decked veranda with a private hot tub on it. It looks out over the fishing lakes. They’re well stocked if you’re into coarse fishing. If you’re not, it’s still a nice view.
Inside it’s open plan. There's a kitchen area with a dishwasher, a living space with a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.
The shop, a pub, and a restaurant are about two miles away in Burgh le Marsh itself.
Skegness is five miles away. That’s where the beach is, along with all the usual seaside things. Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve is there too, which is good for walks and birdwatching.
Within about half an hour you can get to the Lincolnshire Wolds for walks. Horncastle has a lot of antique shops. Coningsby is where the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is based, if you want to see the Lancaster bomber.
