Curlew Cottage is near Thorpe St Peter in Lincolnshire. It's a detached cottage, so you're not sharing walls with anyone. The main thing is the garden and the view. It's a good sized garden, fully enclosed. There's a patio with furniture, and a BBQ you can use. At the bottom of the garden there's an old shepherd's hut. It's got a chair in it, nothing fancy. It's just a quiet spot to sit and look out over the fields.
Inside, it sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The kitchen is open plan with a dining area, and there's a separate living room. Off the back is a conservatory. It gets the sun and you can watch the birds in the garden from there. We get a lot of curlews, hence the name.
There's a games room in an outbuilding. It has a table tennis table and some board games.
The nearest shop and pub are in Wainfleet, about two miles away. For a day out, the coast is about seven or eight miles east. You've got sandy beaches. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is good for walks and birdwatching. Further along the coast there's the RSPB reserves at Freiston Shore and Frampton Marsh.
Inland, the Lincolnshire Wolds are about half an hour's drive north. Good for walks and cycling. The city of Lincoln is about an hour away if you want a proper day out. The cathedral is worth seeing.
Facilities: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. There's parking for two cars on the drive. No pets, sorry.
