Avocet

This is Avocet. It’s one of five barns on our farm, just outside Skegness in Lincolnshire. The barns are all conversions, so there are some old beams and brickwork. You’ll see that when you get inside.

Avocet is for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s well equipped and finished to a good standard. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room.

Outside, you get a private garden that’s enclosed. It has a hot tub. There’s parking right by the door and an electric vehicle charger if you need it.

Inside, it’s open plan. There’s a kitchen area with a dishwasher, a sitting area with a TV, and WiFi. The heating and electricity are included. We provide the bedding and towels. You can bring one dog.

You’re about a mile from the beach here. Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve is even closer, you can walk to it in about fifteen minutes. It’s an unspoilt bit of coastline, good for birdwatching and long walks. There’s a visitor centre with a café there too.

For shops and things, Skegness is about ten minutes in the car. It’s a traditional seaside town with a beach, amusements, and a funfair. There’s a golf course just up the road. There’s a local pub and a restaurant about a mile away for food.

If you want to explore further, the Lincolnshire Wolds are about half an hour’s drive. They’re nice for a drive or a walk. Lincoln is about an hour away, if you fancy seeing the cathedral.
