It's Horseshoe Lake 5, and it's a pod on Chapel Fields Holiday Park, near Skegness. Bit of an odd setup: it says it sleeps six but there's just the one proper bedroom, which is a mezzanine up a ladder. Kids tend to love that bit. For the other four people, there are two sofa beds in the living space below. There's one shower room.
It's detached, so it's just you. The main thing is you step straight off your private deck onto your own fishing peg on Horseshoe Lake. If you fish, that's ideal. You see a bit of wildlife around the water. There's parking for one car right next to it.
The pod has a 4 Star rating. It's got the basics: a TV, wifi, a modern enough little kitchen area to make meals. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
On the park itself, there's a licensed coffee shop. For anything else, the local shop and a pub are about half a mile away. The beach is a mile from the pod. It's sandy. You can walk it, or there's a bus stop nearby into the centre of Skegness. That's where you'll find the main shops, more pubs that do food, cafes, and the usual seaside arcades.
If you want to book a bigger group, you can book this pod together with the one next door, Horseshoe Lake 3, and sleep twelve between them.
For planning days out, the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has good info on local nature spots. And the Visit Lincolnshire site covers the coast.
