Coastal Retreat is one of the lodges at The Laurels in Addlethorpe. It's a detached place, all on one level, which makes it easy to get around if that's a concern.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. It has a 5 Star rating, which means it's well fitted out and comfortable. It's open plan inside, so the living, kitchen, and dining area is all one space. The big deck is fully enclosed, which is good if you have dogs or kids. It looks straight out over the fishing lakes. The hot tub is on the deck.
There's a shop and some places to eat about a mile away in the village. The beach at Ingoldmells is a short drive, maybe five minutes. Skegness is about ten minutes in the car if you want the arcades and rides. For something quieter, Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve is good for a walk and some birdwatching. It's run by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust.
For facilities: everything's included. There's wifi, a TV, parking right outside, and bedding and towels are provided. They leave robes and slippers for the hot tub. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
If you're planning to fish, the lakes are right there. If you're not, it's just a peaceful view. A few other lodges are nearby, so you might see other guests, but each one is private.
