Plough Cottage is one of three barn conversions in a quiet bit of countryside near Authorpe. It's a group of them, but yours is detached. There's a shared lawned garden out the back, but you get your own enclosed patio too.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles. Two bathrooms, which is handy. One has a walk-in shower wet room on the ground floor. There are no grab rails or a shower seat in there, just so you know. The stairs inside are wooden and a bit steep, like you get in old buildings.
The furniture is modern and comfortable. It's got a 4 Star rating, so everything is in good order and it feels clean and looked after. Original beams are still up on the ceilings.
There's a fishing lake on the same land you can use free of charge if that's your thing. The pub down the road, about a quarter of a mile's walk, does food. The nearest shop for basics is about a mile away in the village.
For a day out, Skegness and Fantasy Island are about a 25 minute drive east. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is good for walks and birdwatching, that's near Skegness too. If you come in November or December, you can see the seals with their pups on the beach at Donna Nook, which is about half an hour's drive north.
It says you can bring up to two pets. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding is included. Parking is right outside.
