Somer Leyton Cottage is in Slackholme End, Lincolnshire. It's detached, at the end of a lane, so it's quiet. You get your own garden, fully enclosed, which is mainly lawn. It looks out over fields.
The cottage sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. There's a woodburning stove in the living room, which is nice in the colder months.
It's a rural spot. The nearest pub and shop are about two miles away in the village. We've got a games room in an outbuilding, with a pool table and some board games. It's handy if the weather isn't great.
For the coast, Skegness is about half an hour's drive. There's a sealife centre there, and sandy beaches. Gibraltar Point nature reserve is a bit further south, past Skegness, and is good for walks and birdwatching. Gunby Hall is a National Trust property about twenty minutes away.
Lincoln is roughly forty-five minutes by car. The cathedral is worth seeing. Closer by, there's local fishing and horse riding, and a golf course a few miles away.
Facilities: there's parking for a couple of cars on the gravel drive. WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher are included. Bedding is provided. We can supply a cot and a stairgate. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome. The garden is secure.
