The Paddock
The Paddock is in Sloothby, which is a small village inland, about twenty minutes from the coast.
It's a detached house built for big groups. It sleeps fourteen. That's five bedrooms and three bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's got everything you'd expect and has been finished well.
The main thing is the space. There's a large games room with a pool table and air hockey, and outside you have the whole paddock to yourselves. There's also a soak tub, which is like a hot tub you can swim against the current in. If it gets a bit much, there's a sunroom next to it where you can sit peacefully.
The house has ground floor facilities, including a bedroom and a wet room with a seat and grab rails. The stairs are not steep.
It's very quiet here. You look out onto fields. You'll need a car.
In about twenty minutes you can get to a few places: Chapel St Leonards for a sandy beach, and Skegness for all the usual seaside things. If you're after a walk with a view, Gibraltar Point is good, run by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust. For a classic country house day out, Gunby Hall is about thirty minutes away.
For golf, there's the Wainfleet Links course nearby.
Practical stuff: we allow up to two dogs. We include bedding and towels. There's on-site parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and a cot and highchair. WiFi works fine.
