The Malt House

The Malt House is in Wainfleet All Saints, Lincolnshire. It's one of a few cottages on the site of the old Royal Oak pub. It's done up nicely.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and a bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-finished and comfortable. There's underfloor heating downstairs and a wood burner in the lounge.

You can bring two dogs. The garden is enclosed, which is handy for them. There's parking right outside.

The village has what you need: a couple of pubs, a shop, a takeaway. The train station is about a 15 minute walk if you fancy going to Skegness without the car.

Skegness beach is about five miles away, so a ten minute drive. It's a classic seaside spot with amusements and seal sanctuaries if that's your thing. For a quieter walk, Gibraltar Point is brilliant. It's a nature reserve right on the coast. Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust has the details.

There's good fishing along the River Steeping, about a mile away. The roads round here are flat, so they're good for cycling.

Inside, it's got a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and all the bedding and towels. There's a highchair and a cot if you need them.

If you're planning to explore further, you can get to the historic bits of Boston in about half an hour. The National Trust's Gunby Estate is also within a 30 minute drive.
