Horseshoe Cottage

This is Horseshoe Cottage in Wainfleet. It's a two-up two-down cottage on a quiet street near the centre of the village. Wainfleet All Saints is a proper Lincolnshire market town, so it's not fancy, but it's got everything you need. There's a Co-op, a butcher, a couple of pubs, and the Batemans brewery is here.

The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs. It's been done up recently so it's in good condition, everything works, and it's clean. The 4 Star rating reflects that. The stairs are typical for a cottage, so they're a bit steep.

You can bring one dog. There's a small, enclosed garden out the back with a patio and a table. It gets the sun in the evening. Parking is on the street right outside, which is usually fine.

Inside, there's a kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living room has a TV and WiFi. All the bedding and towels are included. We've put a cot in the upstairs cupboard if you need it.

Skegness is about ten minutes' drive away. That's where the big beach is, with all the usual family stuff. If you want a quieter coast, Gibraltar Point nature reserve is good. It's about a twenty minute drive. For a day out, you've got Gunby Hall and Tattershall Castle within half an hour. Lincoln is further, about forty-five minutes.

The area is flat, so it's good for cycling. There's fishing on the local drains and riding stables nearby. There's also a golf course just outside the town.
