The Stables is one of the Keld Head Farm cottages, just outside Pickering. It's a ground-floor cottage. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It sleeps five. There's a kingsize bed in one room, a double and a single in the other, and bunk beds in an alcove off the living area.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The kitchen has what you need. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
The living room has a stone fireplace and exposed beams. The view from the kitchen looks out over the fields. You'll see sheep and cows.
You can walk straight out into the lanes and fields from the door. Pickering town centre is about a fifteen minute walk. There's a Lidl, a Co-op, and the usual high street shops. Several pubs do food. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway station is there.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. It's about ten minutes by car to get into the park proper for walks. The coast at Whitby or Scarborough is about 40 minutes' drive. York is about the same.
Back at the farm, there's a big shared garden for the cottages. It's enclosed. There's a play area for children, a grass maze, and space for football. Parking is on site.
No pets, sorry.
