Mill Cottage is on Keld Head Farm, just outside Pickering. It's one of a group of cottages here. The cottage itself is stone built, fairly traditional. It sleeps four, with two bedrooms upstairs. One double, one with twin beds. There's one bathroom with a bath and a shower over it.
Inside, you've got exposed beams and a stone fireplace in the living room. It's clean and comfortable. The kitchen has what you need. We've left a collection of board games, books and DVDs in case the weather turns. The Wi-Fi is okay for browsing.
Outside, there's a shared garden area for all the cottages here. It's enclosed, with lawn, a barbecue, and some things for kids to play on. There's parking right outside the cottage.
Location wise, you're in the fields but it's only about a 15 minute walk into Pickering itself. It's a proper market town. Has shops, pubs, cafes. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway starts there, which is a big draw. You've also got the castle and the church with the old paintings.
The edge of the North York Moors National Park is about a ten minute drive. Good for walking. The coast isn't far either. Whitby, Scarborough, they're about 40 minutes in the car. York is about the same drive the other way.
Facilities included are bedding, towels, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's a cot available. No pets, sorry.
