The Wheelhouse
The Wheelhouse is a ground-floor cottage at Keld Head Farm, near Pickering. It's one of a few on the site. You get your own enclosed garden outside the back door.
It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms. One has a four-poster double bed. The other has a double and a single bed in it. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
Because it's ground floor, there's ramp access. There's a parking bay right next to it. The living room has beams and a stone fireplace. The kitchen has what you need.
The farm has a big shared garden for everyone on site. There's a lawn, a barbecue area, a garden house, and things like badminton nets. There's a play area for kids with toys. Inside, there's a cupboard with board games, books and DVDs you can borrow.
You can walk into Pickering in about 15 minutes. It's a proper market town. The North Yorkshire Moors Railway starts there, and there's a castle. You'll find shops, pubs and cafes.
The North York Moors National Park is about ten minutes away by car. The coast is within 40 minutes. You can get to Whitby or Scarborough for the day. York is about the same drive in the other direction.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. No pets allowed.
