The Rams Rest
The Rams Rest is a shepherds hut in a field on the edge of Kirby Misperton. It's just for two people, no children. It's detached and you get the little garden area to yourself.
It's a proper hut, so it's compact. Everything you need is in one room: a double bed at one end, a small kitchen area, a table, and a shower room. It's got central heating so it's warm. The bed is made up for you.
Outside there's a deck and a picnic bench. You look out over fields. It's very quiet.
The village is a short walk away. There's a pub there that does food. Flamingo Land is literally next door, so you'll hear some theme park noise during the day in the summer season. It goes quiet in the evening.
You're right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. Dalby Forest is about fifteen minutes drive for walking and cycling. Go Ape is there if you want it. Pickering is ten minutes away. You can get the steam train from there on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
The coast is about half an hour. Whitby is the main one, with the Abbey and the harbour. Castle Howard is around twenty-five minutes drive. Malton is about twenty minutes if you like food markets.
Facilities: There's WiFi, a TV, parking right by the hut, and a shower. You can bring one dog. They're welcome but please keep them off the furniture.
