Lockwood Barn
Lockwood Barn is in Salton, North Yorkshire. It's a converted barn, set back from the lane. It sleeps four.
You've got two bedrooms and each one has its own bathroom. One bedroom is downstairs, the other is upstairs. There's also a sort of platform area upstairs, a mezzanine, that's got some bean bags on it. Kids seem to like it.
The main room is all open plan: kitchen, dining table, and sitting area with a wood burner. The WiFi works fine. Patio doors open out to the garden. There's a barbecue and outdoor furniture. You can bring one dog.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's well-equipped and comfortable. It's all on one level except for the one upstairs bedroom, so it's fairly straightforward.
Salton is quiet. You'll need a car. Malton is about ten minutes away. They call it a food town, lots of butchers and bakeries, and there's a big food festival sometimes.
Castle Howard is maybe fifteen minutes' drive. It's a proper stately home with massive grounds. Good for a day out. Castle Howard.
York is about half an hour. The Minster, the Shambles, all that. The North York Moors are easily accessible for walking. The coast, like Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay, is around forty-five minutes to an hour away.

Facilities: parking right there, washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair available, towels and bedding included. It can be booked over Christmas, they put a tree up.
