Ling at Holly House is a cottage in Newton on Rawcliffe. It’s on its own, part of a pair with Bracken next door. It was all redone just last year.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s nicely finished. The shower is good. There are a few steps up to the front door, and four steps inside going up to the bathroom.
You get your own bit of private patio out the front. It faces south, gets the sun in the morning. There’s also a shared garden out the back that looks onto a field. They’ve put a picnic bench there.
The village is quiet. There’s a pub, the White Swan, in Newton about a five minute walk. It does food. Pickering is about four miles away. That’s where you’ll find the supermarket, a few shops, and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
You’re right in the North York Moors National Park. Dalby Forest is very close for walking or cycling. For a day out, you can get to the coast in about forty minutes. Whitby and Robin Hood’s Bay are that way. York is about an hour’s drive.
It’s got everything you’d need: WiFi, a dishwasher, underfloor heating. There’s parking right outside and you can charge an electric car. Bedding and towels are included.
