Cowslip Cottage
Cowslip Cottage is on the edge of Levisham village, in the North York Moors. It's part of a small farm, so you'll see horses and chickens about. The garden is yours to use, it's big and looks over a paddock.
It's a two-up-two-down sort of place, sleeps three. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one single. One bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and comfortable. The stairs are steep, like most old cottages.
Inside, it's straightforward. There's a sitting room with a sofa and a TV, then a step up to the kitchen with a table. We leave eggs from our hens and a few other bits for you when you arrive. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included.
You're right on the edge of the moors for walking. The village pub is a two-minute walk, they do food and welcome dogs. For a proper shop or a supermarket, you need to drive to Pickering. That's about fifteen minutes.
Levisham Station for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is just down the lane. You can get the steam train to Pickering or Grosmont from there. The coast at Whitby or Robin Hood's Bay is about forty minutes by car. Goathland, which they used for Aidensfield in Heartbeat, is twenty minutes away.
You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's parking right outside. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them.
