Sunningdale
Sunningdale is a three-star holiday home on a holiday park in Westward Ho!. It's detached. You get your own parking space right next to it.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a separate loo off the main bedroom. One king-sized bed, two singles. The shower is good, it's a proper walk-in cubicle.
It's open plan inside. The sofa's comfy. There's a patio door that leads out to your own veranda. It catches the sun.
The beach is the main thing here. It's about a five minute walk. It's a huge beach, good for sandcastles and surf. The sea can be cold. The village has the usual shops, cafes, and places to get fish and chips.
The holiday park itself has some facilities, like a pool and a shop, but check with them directly for what's open when you're there.
Northam Burrows is right there behind the beach. It's a big grassy plain with golf on one side and the sea on the other. Good for a windy walk. The North Devon Coast National Landscape website has maps.
Bideford is ten minutes away by car. Barnstaple is about twenty minutes. Both have bigger supermarkets. If you want a change from the beach, Arlington Court or the dramatic coast at Hartland are both within half an hour's drive.
Facilities: WiFi, TV, washing machine, all bedding and towels included. You can bring one well-behaved dog. There's no enclosed garden, just the veranda.
