The Balcony is in Westward Ho!. It's an apartment on the first and second floor of a building, so there are stairs inside to get up there.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a large bed and its own bathroom with a shower over the bath. The other has two singles. There's a separate shower room with a washing machine in it too.
The main living space is upstairs. It's open plan, with the kitchen at one end and the sitting area at the other. You get a smart TV and a DVD player. The kitchen has an induction hob, an oven, a dishwasher, and a fridge freezer.
The main thing is the balconies. There are three. One of them has seating and looks straight out over the beach and the sea. That's the view you see in the photos.
Westward Ho! itself is all about the beach. It's a long, flat beach, good for sandcastles and walking. It gets busy in summer. The surf school is right there if you want to try that. The pebble ridge behind it is unusual. The North Devon Coast is all around for walks.
The local golf course is famous for being the oldest links course in England. It's right there along the coast.
Within about 30 minutes you can drive to Appledore, which is a proper fishing village, or Instow for the estuary. Bideford is just inland. Clovelly is a bit further, about 40 minutes. Braunton Burrows and Saunton Sands are up the coast.
Facilities: you've got WiFi, parking on site, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. One well-behaved dog is allowed.
