The Shrimp
The Shrimp is a small flat on the second floor in Westward Ho! It's on the edge of the village up the hill, so you get a view of the sea from the bedroom window. It's just for two people.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's been done up well recently. Everything is clean and works. The kitchen is small but it has a dishwasher. The shower is fine. The living room has a TV and WiFi.
The bed is a double. You look out at the sea from it. The stairs up to the flat are normal building stairs, not cottage stairs.
You get one parking space with it. If you have more than one car, people usually manage to find a space on the road nearby.
It's a good spot for the beach. Westward Ho! beach is a few minutes' drive downhill, or a bit of a walk. It's very long and sandy. You can walk along the South West Coast Path from there. The village has shops and places to eat.
If you play golf, the Royal North Devon Golf Club is about a mile away. They say it's the oldest course in England. For a day out, you can drive to Clovelly, Bideford, or Appledore, all within about half an hour. Arlington Court and the Tarka Trail are nearby if you like walking or cycling.
Things you get: all the bedding and towels, the WiFi, the parking. You can bring up to two dogs. It's decorated for Christmas if you book over the holiday.
