Rock Cottage is in Birchover. It's a detached stone cottage up the hill, so you get the views across the fields. You're in the Peak District National Park here.
It sleeps five people. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's well kept and comfortable. You can bring one dog.
The cottage is on its own, not joined to anything. There's a patio and a garden. Inside, there's a wood burner for cooler evenings, a TV, and Wi-Fi. All the bedding and towels are included.
The village has a pub about 500 yards away. For a shop or a restaurant, you'd drive a mile into the next village.
You can walk straight from the front door onto the footpaths. It's good walking country. Matlock and Matlock Bath are a short drive away, maybe fifteen minutes. Bakewell is about twenty minutes. Chatsworth House is close, perhaps a twenty minute drive. Haddon Hall is in that direction too.
