Waterfall Cottage
Waterfall Cottage is a barn conversion in Lumsdale, up above Matlock. You're basically in the old mill ruins. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One king size, one twin. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Everything's on one level so there's no stairs. The main room is open plan, with a wood burner. Big patio doors open onto a private patio with a table and chairs.
The grounds are big, about 16 acres. There's a shared field and garden with ponds and a stream. Good for kids to run around or you can just sit out. You're right next to the Lumsdale waterfalls and the mill ruins. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Matlock town is about a mile away for shops and pubs. Matlock Bath is two miles. It's got the illuminations in September and the aquarium. The Peak District National Park is right on your doorstep.
Within half an hour you can get to Chatsworth House, Bakewell, or Haddon Hall. Cromford Mill is very close.
Facilities include a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
It can be booked with the cottage next door if you're a bigger group.
