Waterfall Cottage is in Lumsdale, just outside Matlock. It's a barn conversion we did a few years back. It's all on one level inside, which is handy.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a double and one with two singles. One bathroom with a walk-in shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
The main room is open plan with a wood burner. Big doors open out to a private patio with a table and a BBQ. There are some stone steps up to a bit of private grass.
You're right on the edge of our land here, about 16 acres. There are some shared areas with the other cottage - big open fields, garden ponds, a stream. Good if you've got kids who want to run about.
Matlock town centre is about a mile away for shops and pubs. Matlock Bath is two miles. That's where the illuminations are and you can get a cable car up the Heights of Abraham.
You're in the Derbyshire Dales here. Good walking from the door. The Lumsdale Valley waterfalls and mill ruins are literally a few minutes' walk up the track. It's an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chatsworth House is about half an hour's drive. So is Bakewell. The Peak District National Park starts not far away.
Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
