Right, this is River Cottage. It's in Darley Bridge. It's on the main road, which isn't as bad as it sounds. It's a proper old stone cottage, detached. The road's not that busy, but you'll hear some cars.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's comfortable and clean. Everything works.
Outside, there's an enclosed garden at the back. You can see the River Derwent from there. It's nice.
There are two pubs in the village, about a minute's walk. Both are friendly and do food. The nearest shop is about a 15-minute walk away.
For getting out, you're right on the edge of the Peak District National Park. You can walk straight into it from the door. The National Trust has a lot of places nearby. Matlock is three miles away. That's where the Heights of Abraham is, and Gulliver's Kingdom for kids.
Bakewell is about 20 minutes by car. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are an easy drive from there.
If you want activities, Carsington Water is close for sailing and things. Castleton has caves. Go Ape is at Buxton. Alton Towers is about half an hour away.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for colder nights. We've got a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to three dogs.
