Priest Hill is a cottage on the Harthill Hall estate, about three and a half miles from Bakewell. It's one of eight cottages around a cobbled courtyard.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Being a listed building, it's got the thick walls and old windows you'd expect. It's part of an old chapel. That means it's full of character, but also that the layout is what it is. The rooms are what you'd call cosy. There's a patio area outside your door.
The main thing here is the shared facilities on the estate. There's an indoor heated swimming pool you can book slots for. There's also a sauna and a games room. The whole place is set in 14 acres, so there's space to wander. You're in the Peak District National Park, so good walking starts right from the gate.
There's a pub about a mile away. For a shop, you'll need to head into Bakewell.
Bakewell is a proper market town on the River Wye. Chatsworth House is about a 20 minute drive. Haddon Hall is even closer, maybe 10 minutes. For a bigger day out, Buxton or the walking around Mam Tor are within half an hour.
What's here: parking, WiFi, a cot and highchair if needed, bedding and towels are included. There's a dishwasher. You can bring up to two dogs. There's an electric vehicle charger.
