Rock Mews

Rock Mews is one of the houses up on the hill above Bakewell town centre. It's a short walk down into the shops and pubs. The walk back up is a bit steep, but you've got parking for four cars if you'd rather drive.

It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one is an en-suite. The stairs to the top floor are what you'd expect for a house on a slope: they're relatively steep.

The kitchen is big and has a sofa area in it. The dining table is in the conservatory, which looks out over the garden. The garden itself is a good size with a patio. The views from there are nice, you can see right across the town and the river. There's a separate sitting room with a TV, and a games room in the basement with a football table.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's well looked after. We allow up to two dogs.

Bakewell has everything you need: butchers, bakers, cafes, and several pubs. You can walk onto the Monsal Trail from the town, which is good for a flat walk or a bike ride. You can hire bikes at Hassop Station.

Chatsworth House is about five minutes' drive away. Haddon Hall is even closer. Buxton and Matlock are both within half an hour if you fancy a change of scene.

For facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you're bringing little ones. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
