West Lodge

West Lodge is on the west side of Bakewell, about a five minute walk into the town centre. It's a detached modern house, built in a traditional style.

It sleeps six in three double bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a comfortable, clean place. It's not old, so you won't find any wonky floors or low beams.

The living room is at the front and gets the sun in the morning. The kitchen and dining area is open plan, out the back. There's a proper dishwasher and a washing machine.

Outside, there's a stone terrace off the kitchen with a table and chairs. Stone steps go up to another smaller seating area. Both are enclosed, so they're private.

You can walk into Bakewell in a few minutes. All the shops, cafes, and pubs are there. The market is on a Monday. The local pub is about 700 yards away, on the main road.

You're right in the Peak District. For walking, the Monsal Trail starts in Bakewell. Chatsworth House is about ten minutes by car. Haddon Hall is closer, maybe five minutes.

Further out, you've got Buxton, about 20 minutes drive. Matlock and the Heights of Abraham are about half an hour. The Hope Valley is maybe 25 minutes.

Facilities: there's a TV, WiFi, parking for two cars on the drive, and bike storage around the side. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
