The Chapel
The Chapel is part of Harthill Hall, near Alport. It's about three and a half miles from Bakewell. It's one of eight cottages around an old cobbled courtyard.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a conversion from an old chapel, so the walls are thick stone and you get some nice original features like big beams and mullion windows.
The main thing here is you've got access to the Hall's leisure facilities. There's an indoor heated swimming pool you can book times for, a sauna, and a games room. The grounds are about 14 acres. Good walking starts right from the door.
There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is in Bakewell.
Bakewell is the closest proper town. It's got supermarkets, cafes, and the good market. There are two big historic houses nearby: Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. Both are about a 15-minute drive. For walking, you're right in the Peak District National Park. Mam Tor and Dovedale are within half an hour.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. We can take up to two dogs. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. There's also an electric vehicle charger.
