March Cottage
March Cottage is in Matlock. It's a terrace cottage halfway between Matlock and Matlock Bath. You can walk into either. The house sits just above the main road, so you get a view over the rooftops and the hills.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, everything works, and it's clean. It's not a show home.
The living room has a woodburning stove, which is good for cooler nights. There's a proper patio garden out the back with a table. You get a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The WiFi is fine.
The local shop and pub are about half a mile away. The pub does food. You can walk straight from the door onto paths like the Limestone Way. The Cromford Canal and Black Rocks are very close if you want a shorter walk.
Matlock Bath is two miles down the road. It's got the Heights of Abraham cable cars and the arcades. For a longer day out, Bakewell is ten miles. Chatsworth House is near there, and Haddon Hall. For cycling, Carsington Water is about twenty minutes away by car.
