Greenacres Cottage is in Middleton, near Wirksworth. It's an annex attached to our house, but it's entirely yours while you're here. You get your own patio and garden, which faces south.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, which just means everything is in good working order and it's clean. Because it's on a hill, some of the ceilings are low upstairs. Tall people need to mind their heads on the beams.
You're welcome to use our big garden and woodland area. It's about an acre and a half. The bird feeders are just outside the kitchen window, so you see a lot of activity.
You're right on the edge of the village. There are two pubs a few minutes' walk away. Both serve food. Wirksworth is about a mile down the hill for shops and more places to eat.
The main thing here is the outside. The High Peak Trail is literally next to the garden gate. You can walk or cycle for miles without going on a road. The Middleton Top visitor centre, where you can hire bikes, is a couple of hundred yards away.
For days out, Cromford and the Arkwright Mills are a ten minute drive. Crich Tramway Museum is about twenty minutes. Matlock Bath is close too, if you like that sort of thing.
What's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, parking for two cars. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them. We have a BBQ you can use. Sorry, no pets.
