Spring Cottage
Spring Cottage is a converted barn on our farm just outside Kirk Ireton. It's detached, so it's just you. The views are good. You can see for miles over the fields.
It sleeps five. There are three bedrooms upstairs and two bathrooms, one on each floor. It's a 4 Star place, so it's well kept and modern inside. We've had it done up. It's quiet here, just farm sounds.
You're about a mile from the village. There's a shop and a pub, The Barley Mow, which does food and ale. Wirksworth is three miles away for more shops and cafes.
Carsington Water is about three miles. You can sail, fish, cycle, or just walk around it. It's a big reservoir. The Peak District website has details.
For a day out, Chatsworth House is about ten miles. It's a full day there, house and gardens. The Chatsworth website has all the events. Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham are five miles. Alton Towers is about twenty.
In the cottage, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. The garden is enclosed. Parking is right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. We provide bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.
