Spring Cottage is in Kirk Ireton. It's a detached place that used to be a barn on our farm, but we've converted it. It's on its own, so it's quiet. The main thing is the view, you get a good long one over the fields.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bathroom is en-suite. We've got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable and we've tried to keep it straightforward.
The stairs are on the steep side, so mind your head. There's a stairgate at the top if you need it. The garden is enclosed, which is handy for dogs or kids. You can sit out there. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
There's a pub in the village, about a mile away. They do food and proper ale. Wirksworth is three miles for shops and cafes. That's a good little town.
Carsington Water is also about three miles. You can walk or cycle the path around it, or do sailing and things like that. For a big day out, you've got Chatsworth House about ten miles away. The National Trust at Calke Abbey is a bit further, maybe twenty-five minutes. If you've got children, Gulliver's Kingdom at Matlock Bath is five miles.
Facilities: we've included bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi. Parking for two cars right outside. You can bring up to two dogs. There's a cot and a highchair in the cottage if you need them.
