This is Tissington Ford Barn in Bradbourne, Derbyshire. It's part of an old mill dating back to the 1500s, but it's been converted now. It's all on one floor, which is handy.
It sleeps twelve people. There are six bedrooms and four bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The space is really big, with high ceilings and old stonework and beams. There's a wood burner.
Outside, there's a patio with picnic tables. You also get exclusive use of a separate paddock they call the 'secret garden'. It's enclosed and quiet, good for kids to run around or for sitting outside. You can hire a hot tub if you want one, it's an extra cost.
You're right in the Peak District National Park. You can walk straight from the door into the countryside. Carsington Water is about a mile away for sailing and walks. The nearest pub is three miles, and there's a restaurant about a mile and three quarters away. The local shop is nearly five miles, so you'll want to come with supplies.
Within half an hour you've got a lot. Bakewell is close, and the big stately homes like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are nearby. Alton Towers is also about thirty minutes by car if that's your sort of thing.
Practical stuff: it's detached and has parking, including an electric vehicle charger. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. It has a cot and highchair.
