Barn Owl Lodge
Barn Owl Lodge is in Hognaston. It's a semi-detached cottage, part of a small group of four. Sleeps four, two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's modern inside, clean and comfortable.
The main room is open plan with a wood burner. The stairs are fine. There's a patio with a table and a bit of garden. You can see fields from it.
Carsington Water is basically at the end of the lane, a three minute walk. You can hire bikes there, or go sailing. Good for a stroll.
The local pub is about a mile and a half away in the village. It does food. The nearest shop is two miles, in Carsington.
You're right on the edge of the Peak District. Ashbourne is ten minutes by car. Bakewell, Matlock Bath, and Dovedale are all within half an hour. Chatsworth is about twenty five minutes.
For a big day out, Alton Towers is half an hour's drive.
The place has parking, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a highchair. No pets, sorry.
