Mills Croft is in Hognaston, a small village a few miles from Ashbourne. It's a stone cottage, end of a terrace. The garden is yours and it's a good size, mostly lawn with some decking.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms upstairs and one bathroom. There's a downstairs toilet too. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's modern and comfortable inside. They redid it all a couple of years ago, so it's fresh.
The kitchen is open plan, has a breakfast bar and a dining table. It's got a dishwasher and there's a washing machine in the utility room. The living room is separate, which some people prefer.
For beds, you've got a king in the main room, a double that can be twins, and a single with a pull-out truckle bed underneath for a child.
You can walk from the door. Carsington Water is very close, less than five minutes by car. Good for sailing or walking the reservoir path. The local pub is about a ten-minute walk.
Ashbourne is the nearest proper town, about four miles. Chatsworth House is about half an hour's drive. So is Dovedale and the stepping stones. Alton Towers is also within half an hour if that's your thing.
Facilities: WiFi, all bedding and towels included, parking for one car on the drive. There's a highchair and a secure bike store. No pets allowed.
