The Old Damson Tree Barn is in Parwich, in the Derbyshire Peak District. It's a detached barn conversion, all on one level. You can park right next to it.
It's a small place, just for two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower. The rating is 4 Star, which means it's well kept and comfortable. It's got underfloor heating, which is really good in the winter. There's a wood burner in the living area too.
The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine in a cupboard. Towels and bedding are included. Outside there's a small, enclosed patio area with a table and chairs.
Parwich is a quiet village with a green and a pond. The Sycamore Inn is the local pub, about a three minute walk away. They do food.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail, which are old railway lines. Dovedale with its stepping stones is about ten minutes by car. Carsington Water is close too, for a walk or some sailing. Ilam Park is a short drive away and it's a nice spot for a picnic.
If you want to explore further, Ashbourne is the nearest proper town, about six miles. Chatsworth House and Kedleston Hall are both about a half hour drive. Alton Towers is also in that direction, if that's your sort of thing.
