The Old Damson Tree Barn
The Old Damson Tree Barn is in Parwich. It's a barn conversion, so it's a detached stone building. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's good quality and comfortable.
It's all on one level inside. The main room has the kitchen, a sofa, and a wood burner. There are a lot of beams. It has underfloor heating, which is very effective. The bedroom has the bathroom en suite, with a walk-in shower.
Outside, there's a small seating area at the front. It's on the lane, so you get to see the village comings and goings.
Parwich has a village green and a pond. There's a good pub, The Sycamore Inn, about a two-minute walk away.
For walking, the Tissington Trail and High Peak Trail are close. You can get to Dovedale in about ten minutes by car. Carsington Water is about fifteen minutes away for sailing or a walk around the reservoir.
If you want a day out, Chatsworth House is a half-hour drive. So is Alton Towers. The market town of Ashbourne is about ten minutes away for bigger shops.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right next to the barn. No pets allowed.
