Dawn Cottage
Dawn Cottage is near Alstonefield, right in the Peak District. It's a barn conversion on the farm we run here. That means there are cows and sheep in the fields, and you'll see hens and geese about the place. The views across the Dove Valley are really very good.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms upstairs. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star rating, which is about right. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs are original, so they're a bit twisty.
It's open plan downstairs, with a wood burning stove. There's a TV and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's a washing machine, a cot, and a highchair if you need them. There's parking right outside and a shed for bikes.
The footpath to the Tissington Trail and the River Dove starts from the gate. You don't need to drive for a good walk. There's a pub in the village, about a ten minute walk.
The closest town for a big shop is Ashbourne, about seven miles. Buxton is a bit further, maybe twenty five minutes by car. You're well placed for Dovedale, Ilam Park, and Chatsworth.
