Railway Cottage
This is Railway Cottage. It's my place in Longcliffe, up in the Peak District. It's detached, and I live next door in the old station house. The views from up here are very good. You can see for miles.
It sleeps four. Two double bedrooms, both with their own ensuite shower room. One bedroom has a zip and link bed, so you can make it two singles if you need to. Everything is on one level, no stairs.
The living room faces out over the view. There's a kitchen and dining area at the other end. It's got a washing machine and a dishwasher. Towels and bedding are included. There's WiFi and a TV.
Outside, there's a patio area with a table and chairs. It gets the sun in the afternoon. You've got your own parking space.
The cottage is right on the High Peak Trail. You can step out the gate and be on it. It's a flat, traffic-free path for walking or cycling. Good for all levels.
There's a shop and a pub about a mile down the road in the village. They're fine. For more choice, Matlock is about ten minutes by car. Bakewell, Chatsworth, and Carsington Water are all within a twenty to thirty minute drive.
