T'owd Man's Cottage
T'owd Man's Cottage is in the village of Bonsall. It's a mid-terraced cottage, so you've got neighbours either side. It's just for two people.
It's been done up. That's what the 4 Star rating means. It's comfortable and everything works. The main room downstairs is open plan. There's a multi-fuel stove. The kitchen has what you need.
Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom. The stairs are the original cottage ones, so they turn a corner and are a bit steep.
Outside, there's a small courtyard with a table and chairs. You get a view across the rooftops and fields.
Bonsall has a pub, the Barley Mow. They do food. There's a village shop. Matlock is about two miles away for bigger shops.
For walks, you can start right from the door. The High Peak Trail is very close. It's good for walking and cycling. The Peak District National Park site has maps.
Within half an hour you can get to Chatsworth House. Cromford and Arkwright's Mills are about ten minutes away. Bakewell is maybe twenty minutes by car.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for one car on the street outside.
