T'owd Man's Cottage
T'owd Man's Cottage is in Bonsall, a village in the Peak District. It's a mid-terrace cottage, sleeps two in one bedroom. One bathroom.
It's been done up recently, so it's in good order. The main room downstairs is open plan. Kitchen at one end, living area at the other. There's a woodburning stove. The stairs are cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow.
Upstairs is the bedroom, which is a good size for two, and the bathroom. Outside the back is a small courtyard with a table and chairs. You get some views over the village from there.
Bonsall itself is quiet. There's a village shop and the Barley Mow pub, which is about a three minute walk. They serve food. The World Hen Racing championships are held there in August, which is exactly what it sounds like.
For walking, you can step straight out onto paths. The High Peak Trail is close by. Matlock and Matlock Bath are about ten minutes in the car. Matlock Bath has the cable car up to the Heights of Abraham.
Within half an hour you can get to places like Bakewell, Chatsworth House, or Cromford Mill. The whole area is good for cycling and walking.
In terms of what's here: there's a TV, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included. It's all on one level inside except for the stairs to the bedroom. The front door has a step but it's not high, and there's a small ramp available if needed.
