The Wee House On The Hill is in Wirksworth. It's detached. The name is accurate, it is wee and it is on a hill. You get views over the rooftops and fields from up there.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up to a good standard. There's a wood burning stove in the main room downstairs. The garden is enclosed, which is handy.
It's a quiet spot. The lanes around it are old and twisty, like a little village. There's no through traffic. You can walk down the hill into the town centre in a few minutes. There are shops, pubs, and places to eat about 400 yards away.
You can walk straight out from the door. The High Peak Trail and Black Rocks are right there for cycling or walking. Carsington Water is close by if you want to go for a sail or a bike ride round the reservoir.
For a day out, Cromford and the Derwent Valley Mills are about two miles away. That's a World Heritage Site. Matlock Bath is a short drive, with the cable car up the Heights of Abraham. Chatsworth House is within half an hour.
The house has WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
